Studio Montemayor is a San Francisco-based interior design firm creating bespoke spaces that bridge high design with approachable comfort. We believe the home should be a reflection of the family who inhabits it, and through thoughtful curation we provide a beautiful stage to discretely elevate their daily routine.
Unbound by a set aesthetic, our work is stylistically diverse and attuned to our clients- unified by an essential refinement, sense of place, and attention to detail. Whether through a restrained palette or fearless use of color, we strive to create timeless spaces that improve with age and achieve an intuitive practicality.
At Studio Montemayor we believe the best projects arise through good teams, as such, we do not have a minimum to take on projects. We prioritize finding clients that we love to work with and view them as active collaborators. We believe that designing a home should be enjoyable. In a process with so many unknowns, if the players are great, the process and outcome will be too.
REGINA PÉREZ MONTEMAYOR
PRINCIPAL & FOUNDER
Studio Montemayor was founded by Principal interior designer Regina Pérez Montemayor. Regina’s appreciation for beauty in all forms started at a young age. With a passion for interior design for as long as she can remember, Regina’s perspective was nurtured by travels around the world with her family. Following influential years spent living in Mexico City and France, she honed her technical skills with a degree in Interior Architecture and Design. Regina’s creative vision developed, and she quickly fell in love with the meticulous nature of drafting and the precision of documentation. Upon graduation, Regina spent several years working at Hart Howerton gaining experience on large residential and hospitality projects located around the world, from Cabo San Lucas to South Africa. Next, she joined Nicole Hollis as a Lead Project Designer in hospitality, overseeing a wide range of hotel and restaurant projects. This experience was invaluable, however Regina’s love of creating homes never wavered. Establishing Studio Montemayor in 2016, she was able to primarily focus on private residences, but admittedly still has a soft spot for distinctive boutique hospitality projects.
